The Congressional Research Service (CRS) is the research and reference arm of the U.S. Congress and its committees. The Copyright Office administers the operation of the U.S. copyright law, a major force for encouraging literary and artistic endeavors. The Law Library serves Congress (mostly in the area of international law) as well as the public.
