The staff of the Library of Congress is organized to respond to the needs of its various constituencies. The library must serve the Congress and the federal government, the copyright community, librarians and information specialists, educators, researchers, scholars, and the general public. Finding the proper balance among the library’s various roles is a challenge for each librarian of Congress.
